William R. Schultz : 2012-2013

Dr. John Gallacher, Superintendent of Schools has announced that William R. Schultz is Enfield Public Schools’ Teacher of the Year for the 2012-13 school year.  Mr. Schultz will be a candidate for the Connecticut State Teacher of the Year competition.

 

Mr. Schultz has 9 years of teaching experience as a Chemistry and Physics Teacher at Enrico Fermi High School.  Mr. Schultz holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Illinois, a Certificate for Pollution and Waste Prevention in Manufacturing from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from the Hartford Graduate Center,

a Masters Degree in Metallurgy from the Polytechnic Institute from the Hartford Graduate Center and received his Alternate Route to Teacher Certification in Physical Sciences 7-12 from the State of Connecticut.

 

In addition to teaching, Mr. Schultz is involved in many district and school-wide committees.  Some of these committees include the Enrico Fermi Chemistry Club, Family Science Night Coordinator, Fermi Scholarship Committee, Fermi NEASC Accreditation Curriculum Committee, Acting Fermi Science Department Chairperson, High School Consolidation Committee, and is the University of Connecticut Early College Experience Program Liaison at Fermi. 

 

Mr. Schultz is a member of the East Windsor Board of Education and has coached in East Windsor for Youth Soccer, Basketball and Baseball.
