2025 EHS Valedictorian - Kathia Diaz

EHS Valedictorian – Kathia Diaz

 

Enfield Public Schools Superintendent Steven A. Moccio is pleased to announce the 2025 Enfield High School Valedictorian – Kathia Diaz.  Kathia has been engaged in various academic and extracurricular activities at Enfield High School.  She is a dedicated member of Buzz Robotics, where she serves as the Awards Lead and Outreach Event Lead.  Through her contributions, the team has achieved notable success, earning two district event wins and nine team awards over the past four years.

 

Beyond robotics, Kathia is involved in National History Day, Model United Nations, and the Superintendent’s Advisory Board at Enfield High School.  She is also deeply committed to community service, both within and beyond the Enfield community.  As a mentor for three middle and elementary school robotics teams, she helps inspire younger students in STEM.  Additionally, she supports her peers through tutoring, volunteers with the National Honor Society, and celebrates her heritage as a member of the Spanish National Honor Society.

 

Kathia’s has also received several honors, including the Yale Book Award, the CABE Leadership Award, NCWIT’s Aspirations in Computing Award, the NCCCC Act of Kindness Award, and the Connecticut Society of Women Engineers Student Award.

 

Kathia plans to attend a four-year college, with the possibility of pursuing further education.  She intends to major in either mechanical engineering or chemistry, reflecting her strong interest in STEM fields.  Please join us and congratulate Ms. Diaz for her outstanding academic accomplishments.
