EHS Salutatorian – Jonathan Tony Araujo
Enfield Public Schools Superintendent Steven A. Moccio is pleased to announce the 2025 Enfield High School Salutatorian – Jonathan Tony Araujo. During Jonathan’s time in high school, he has served as president of the National Honor Society, treasurer of the Spanish National Honor Society, and as a Student Council representative as well as an EHS Student Advisory Board member. Throughout his four years, he participated in the Aperture Club, Chess Club, Friends of Rachel Club, Table Tennis Club, Coding Club, Sustainability Club, Model United Nations Club, Buzz Robotics, and EHS Varsity Boys Tennis Team.
Jonathan has donated his time to his community, including Enfield Loaves and Fishes and Wreaths Across America as well as tutoring his peers in Spanish. As a National Honor Society officer, he helped set up fundraisers to support various community organizations, such as the Enfield Senior Center, Enfield Public Library, and Enfield Food Shelf. He also worked part-time as a Material Handler at the Namco Warehouse.
Jonathan has taken a rigorous course load during his four years of high school, with a total of eleven Advanced Placement courses, as well as twelve honors courses. He has received awards such as the Rochester Institute of Technology Computing Award, AP US History Award, Pre-Calculus Award, Dmitri Mendeleev Award for Excellence in Chemistry, Enrico Fermi Award for Excellence in Physics, Algebra II Award, Modern World History Award, Rube Goldberg Machine Contest People’s Choice Award and Top Ten Winner, AAPPL Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish, and the Top Overall SAT Score. He also had his photography featured in the Social Services Department of the Alcorn building in Enfield and had his pottery displayed at the EHS Art Show.
Jonathan will be attending a four-year college with plans to possibly pursue further education while majoring in Economics and/or Mechanical Engineering. Please join us and congratulate Mr. Araujo for his outstanding academic accomplishments.
